Four Year Old Rail is a film about four best friends before they all went to college, brought together by skateboarding, friendship, and God. It’s about 14 minutes long, shot entirely on 16mm color and black and white film.

We shot 10 rolls of film in three weeks. A film commission in Florida voted it best Florida documentary. That was crazy, so we actually got a little publicity. It got screened in public schools and helped build a skate park where the guys in the film lived.
If it’s well done and truthful, documentary films are amazing tools for change. I hardly ever skateboard, I surf. I just wanted to tell these guys story. You don't necessarily have to be a part of the scene, but it certainly helps.
